Personal data

The personal information of our users is one of the areas that we are paying extraordinary attention to. Keep in mind that all requirements are met and in some cases even exceeded because your data and data security are in the first place. Keybin following the Personal Data Protection Act is committed to protecting the personal data of its users. For the needs of the online store business, we can collect and store the following user data:

  • name and surname,
  • company information,
  • company owner information,
  • various proofs of company existence,
  • the address and place of residence,
  • e-mail address,
  • username,
  • contact telephone number,
  • password in encrypted form,
  • and other data that users enter into forms on the site

We are not responsible for the accuracy of data entered by users. For security purposes, IP addresses are also collected from which users access the site. At the beginning of the visit, each user is assigned a session cookie to identify and monitor the shopping cart. On our computer, our sites may also store other purchases such as the user ID in the encrypted form (to identify the user at the next visit), product tags (example: favorite products), and Analytics cookies. All of the above information, except cookies, are stored permanently on the server. Session cookies are stored in the server’s memory only for the duration of the visit and are deleted after one hour of inactivity, and permanent cookies are stored on the visitor’s computer. Keybin manages the data in an anonymous summarized form that can be used for statistical analysis purposes. Users data will not be forwarded to unauthorized persons in any way.

Exceptional disclosure of personal information

The data that will be collected and processed will only be disclosed if such an obligation is specified in the law or in good faith that such action is necessary for proceedings before courts or other state bodies and for the protection and realization of the legitimate interests of Keybin.

Deletion, unsubscription, and data request request

The user can always opt-out of receiving promotional e-mails, via a visible opt-out that will be in the footer of all sent messages (“Unsubscribe”). By clicking on the link, the user will simply be unsubscribed from receiving promotional e-mails or will have to follow the next steps to unsubscribe. Due to the natural functionality of the website, the user will always receive an email in case of requests for a forgotten password. Users can always request the removal of their data from our database via sending an email with the subject DELETE to [email protected]. Keybin is then required to delete all stored data associated with the address from which the request mail was sent. Due to the natural functionality of the website, we reserved the right to remove all user data (e-mail address, name/nickname, other data that a user can enter on the profile) and replace it with an automatically generated email address and a name that has no connection and in no way indicates the user’s name or e-mail address. If there are any funds or digital products on users’ accounts we will get in touch with the user to return asses to the user before we remove the account. Only when all asset is returned to the user we can proceed to fully delete the account. We will remove all other data or enter automatically generated characters. The user may enter additional information to his profile that is visible to the public, except in cases where they are recorded differently. All contact forms and other forms for sending on the website serve only for communication and the information entered is not used for further processing (for example: sending promotional messages), unless indicated on the form.

Rules on cookies

The Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette No. 109/2012) brought new rules to the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing information or accessing information stored on a computer or a mobile device of the user. User privacy is very important to us, so we strive to provide users with all the information about the cookies we use on our website to enable better website performance and a more pleasant user experience. The information and data we obtain will be carefully guarded and used exclusively to provide services.

Cookies are nothing new, all website visitors have many cookies from different websites on their computers, tablets, and mobile phones. It is now only that with the new legislation (Slovenia act ZEK-1) there are changes in the information and / consenting to visitors using them.

They are small text files that most websites store on devices that users access the Internet to identify the individual devices that users have used in accessing the website. Their storage is under the complete control of the user’s browser – the user can restrict or disable cookie storage however he wants to. Cookies are not harmful and are always time-limited.

They are fundamental to providing user-friendly online services. The interaction between the web user and the site is faster and easier with the help of cookies. With their help, the site remembers the individual’s preferences and experiences, thus saving time and making browsing more efficient and friendly.

  • to save choices when creating a shortlist of devices and offers and comparing them
  • We keep you logged in on sections of websites where registration is required

You decide if you want to allow the storage of cookies on your device. You can control and modify cookie settings in your web browser however you like. If you decide to disable cookies, the Keybin dashboard could not work properly! Please enable cookies for the website to run smoothly.

Where we use cookies

Cookies are generated when the user/customer uses Account options for the store website (with a click-on button login or register) or adds Products/products to the shopping cart and those cookies are needed for the website’s technical functionality, the user accepts those cookies with a click on a button. Third-party cookies (needed for technical functionality) can be generated with a click on third-party links/buttons (example: PayPal Express payment or Google Login button), we provide only secured and trusted third-party solutions!

Cookies that we use on our page are necessary for basic functionalities to work and improve your staying on Keybin:

  • Matomo / Piwik (Anonymous analytics and site performance)
  • Language cookie (stores your setup language of website)
  • cfduid (Cloudflare for caching website)
  • PHPSEESID (PHP session cookie for the page to display)

This policy applies to the domain keybin.net and all subdomains (my.keybin.net etc).

Your data provided thru verification

All documents provided thru registration and verification of account will be stored. If we notice strange or fraudulent activity on your account we will notify your and our local authorities to investigate your activity with all available data that is stored on our end. If any local authorities request data we will provide only the required data and if the request applies within Slovenian law.
